Client Requirement
A Buying Group representing eight companies, all selling high volumes of steel products across different industries, faced persistent challenges sourcing from Chinese manufacturers. Problems included inconsistent quality, delayed shipments, and rising costs in logistics and import duties. The group approached Resource Global to find a sustainable and efficient solution.
Resource’s Solution
Resource Global introduced an innovative approach to address these challenges. We began by consolidating the technical and logistical needs of all eight companies.
Next, we conducted a thorough market analysis to map and evaluate dozens of steel manufacturers across Europe. Each supplier was vetted based on quality standards, reliability of supply, and certifications. As the suppliers were shortlisted, we carried out on-site audits to verify capabilities in person.
Result
The process resulted in finding a large manufacturer in Italy who perfectly met all of the Client’s requirements. A trial purchase order was placed which the manufacturer delivered successfully.
To date, the Italian steel manufacturer are still the chosen partner for all 8 companies, with full containers leaving Italy each week. The Resource team continue to monitor the supply chain, with regular site visits to the manufacturing plant, and quarterly updates with the Buying Group.
