October 25, 2024Case Study: Capital Equipment for global QSR chain
Client: Global QSR Chain (name confidential) |
Location: US Headquarters + Global |
Outcome: New supply chain established for kitchen equipment following semiconductor shortage |
Client Requirement
Among the many industries affected by the global semiconductor shortage from 2020 to 2023, the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry was one of the most impacted. One of the largest QSR chains, operating over 20,000 restaurants internationally, approached us to urgently find new sources of Kitchen Equipment and safeguard their expansion and refurbishment plans.
Resource’s Solution
Our team stepped in to help by finding new manufacturers of kitchen equipment in North America, Mexico, and East Europe. Drawing on our international experience, we quickly identified reliable suppliers who could meet the high standards and deliver the demanding volumes required. The chain’s New Store Opening schedule was able to run to plan, with minimal delays.
Result
The success of this project was founded on a strong relationship of mutual trust. Under the cover of a strict NDA, the QSR chain entrusted Resource with the detail of their supply chain challenge, which allowed them to quickly identify the best manufacturing partner to meet all of the client’s needs.
Resource continues to work with this client on continuously improving their supply chain, not only on CapEx, but also kitchen and consumer consumables, and food.
